1. What is the barrel twist rate of this rifle?  The barrel twist is 1 in 8, or one full turn for 8 inches of travel in the barrel.  

2. What is the height over bore of the optic as it comes from LTT? The center of the scope is 2.5” above the center of the receiver on this rifle as it is mounted from LTT.  

3. What thread pitch is the muzzle on the LTT Rifle? The muzzle is threaded at 5/8x24 which is a standard us thread pitch for muzzle breaks and suppressor mounts.  

4. What reticle is in the Burris XTR III? The reticle that comes in this optic is the SCR2 Mil Radian reticle.  

5. Why is the rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor? We chose the 6.5 Creedmoor because of how versatile the cartridge is for long range and hunting and the availability of high-quality ammunition at a reasonable price.  

6. How long is the barrel? The barrel is 24 inches long  

7. What level of accuracy can I expect from this rifle? Tikka has a one MOA, or 1 inch at 100 yards, three shot group guarantee. Our experience with these Tikka Rifles is much better than that, often shooting under half inch at 100 yards, but we cannot make guarantees better than the Tikka guarantee.  High Quality Ammunition is very important to get the best results.  

8. How much does this rifle weigh? This rifle with the bipod and empty magazine is just over 14 pounds.

10. How long will the barrel last on this rifle? This is going to depend on how you treat the rifle and what ammunition you shoot thought it. Shooting at a higher rate of fire is going to get the barrel very hot and make it wear faster. Also shooting higher velocity ammunition with lighter bullet weights will also wear the barrel faster. Most people will get 3,000 to 5,000 rounds before they see a significant change in accuracy.  

11. What is the finish on this rifle? The barrel and receiver are a mat blue finish with a stainless-steel bolt.  

12. What magazines are recommended? AICS pattern magazines, Magpul PMAGs are not recommended. 

13. What is the barrel material? Cold Hammer Forged. 

14. What are the torque specs for the hardware? Chassis to action/receiver = 65in-lbs, optic rail to action/receiver = 20 in-lbs, scope rings = 55 in-lbs. 

15. What type of trigger is used and what is the pull weight range? Two stage, 3-3.5lbs. 

16. What is the recommended ammo for this set up? We have had exceptional results from Sako TRG ammo for the 6.5 Creedmoor. So that would be our #1 recommendation. Sako uses legendary Lapua components for its premium ammunition, and the results show why. We have also had very good results with Hornady ELD-M  ammunition in both the 140 grain and the 147 grain weight.
