FAQ’S:

  1. Why isn’t the OP hammer fully skeletonized?
    • We found that having a ridge of material running through the center of the hammer helped us achieve the mass distribution and rigidity we wanted for the best firing pin indent results.
  2. Can I use an OP or OS hammer in a Beretta-pattern gun made by another company?
    • We only guarantee function in genuine Beretta firearms.
  3. Why would I want a spurless hammer?
    • Spurless hammers are ideal for concealed carry because they don’t protrude in a way that can poke you or print through clothing. They are also good for “claw grip” draws from appendix inside-the-waistband holsters.
  4. Should I pick a Beretta match hammer or an LTT Optimized hammer for my order?
    • That depends! The Beretta Match hammer is a great product, and it is a little less expensive than the Optimized series of hammers. However, the Optimized series of hammers often produce a slightly crisper trigger pull, and they will ignite primers more reliably than the Match hammer when your hammer spring is lighter than the standard 13 pounds.
  5. Can I use the Optimized hammers with heavier hammer springs, like the Beretta factory spring and D-model spring, or the LTT 14-pound spring?
    • Yes.
  6. I don’t know what hammer spring weight to pick to go with my OP Hammer. How should I choose?
    • 10# and 11# hammer springs exceed the SAAMI minimum firing pin indent by at least 37%, slightly more than most Gen 5 Glocks.
      • The LTT team has fired tens of thousands of rounds with these springs using all varieties of ammunition, including ammunition loaded with hard rifle primers, without ignition issues. However, out of an abundance of caution, we recommend these springs for range and competition use only.
    • A 12# hammer spring exceeds SAAMI minimum firing pin indent by 44%, slightly more than a Beretta APX.
    • A 13# hammer spring exceeds SAAMI minimum firing pin indent by 55%, slightly more than a factory Beretta M9A3 with a 16# D hammer spring.
    • Note: OP and OS Hammer testing was conducted with an RDO-cut Beretta Elite LTT in double action. Single action mode increases firing pin indent by an additional 10-20% over the SAAMI minimum. All firing pin indent data obtained with Olin Winchester K1276A copper crush washers.

  7. Will it come in NP3?
    • Yes
  8. What are the pull weights with 10#,11#,12#,13#,14# hammer springs?
