Combined with our Trigger Job in a Bag Kit and the following hammer springs, your DA/SA pull weight will be approximately:

  • 11# DA: 5.3 to 6 lbs
  • 12# DA: 5.6 to 6.4lbs
  • 13# DA: 6.3 to 7lbs
  • 14# DA: 7 to 7.5lbs
  • 16# DA: 7.2 to 8 lbs
Please keep in mind that below 13# on a 92 series pistol, some primers may not ignite reliably - 12# and 11# Hammer Springs should only be selected for home-loaders and seasoned pros.

On the PX4, it will be:

  • #10 DA 6 to 6.5lbs
  • #11 DA 6.5 to 7lbss
  • #12 DA 7 to 8lbs

With the Single-Action will be between 3.5 and 4 lbs for both the 92/96 and PX4.

Hammer Spring Weight Selection

FAQ's about the 10# Hammer Spring:

Q: What will my pull-weights be with the 10# Hammer Spring and LTT Trigger Work?

A: Double-Action: 6 to 6.5lbs. (It will likely take 3-4 lbs off the DA over the factory full power spring)

Single-Action: .5lb REDUCTION depending on what trigger work has/has not been done. This will vary based on your firearm and what you have done to it.

Q: Is the 10# Hammer Spring reliable to carry with?

A: The 10# hammer spring has been reliable for us in our testing. All ammunition used was US manufactured ammunition, as well as some NATO Spec ammo. Please note, reliability may vary with European or non-NATO spec ammunition, as well as reloads with tougher primers. With the right ammo, it will be reliable for carry or duty use. We recommend testing the ammo you would like to carry first before committing to the lighter spring.
